📢 MANY PTIT PROGRAMS ELIGIBLE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS UNDER GOVERNMENT DECREE No. 179/2026/ND-CP

According to Government Decree No. 179/2026/ND-CP, which establishes scholarship policies for students pursuing fundamental sciences, key engineering disciplines, and strategic technologies, several flagship academic programs at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) are expected to be eligible for this special support scheme.

The Decree aims to foster the development of high-quality human resources in strategic technology sectors, contributing to Vietnam’s national digital transformation agenda, digital economy growth, and global technological competitiveness.

As one of Vietnam’s leading universities in engineering and technology, PTIT currently offers a wide range of programs aligned with the strategic technology fields prioritized by the Government.

🎓 Eligible Programs at PTIT

Integrated Bachelor–Master’s Talent Programs
Students admitted to the following integrated programs are eligible for scholarship support:

  • Information Security
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Telecommunications Engineering

(These programs have been officially approved by the Ministry of Education and Training.)

Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Program
Students admitted to the Semiconductor IC Design Program are also expected to benefit from the policy (currently awaiting official approval from the Ministry of Education and Training).

Undergraduate Programs in Priority Disciplines
The following PTIT programs are expected to be included in the priority list under Decree 179/2026/ND-CP (subject to final confirmation by the Ministry of Education and Training):

  • Artificial Intelligence (7480107)

🔐 Information Technology

  • Information Technology (7480201)
  • Information Security (7480202)

⚡ Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering

  • Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (7520207)
  • Control and Automation Engineering (7520216)

💰 Scholarship Benefits

One of the most significant highlights of Decree 179/2026/ND-CP is the provision of direct financial support for students pursuing strategic technology disciplines.

Scholarship levels include:

🎓 Undergraduate Students

  • From VND 3.7 million to VND 5.0 million per month

🎓 Master’s Students

  • From VND 5.5 million to VND 7.4 million per month

🎓 Doctoral Candidates

  • Up to VND 8.4 million per month, particularly for talent programs, semiconductor IC programs, and selected strategic technology disciplines.
